At the 24-hour mark, Sushi Chef Jeff Roberto made the call to set the 24-hour record for Most Sushi Pieces Made in 24 Hours and enjoy the rest of the experience with the guests, chefs, and sushi lovers! The well-being of his colleagues meant more than pushing to the 48-hour mark and instead everyone got to enjoy coming together for delicious sushi next to the gorgeous San Diego waters.
The documented Sushi World Record for Most Sushi Pieces Made in 24-Hours is: 28,576 Pieces
Sushi Festival San Diego featured top chefs from around San Diego coming together to help set the world record at The Dana on Mission Bay (1710 W Mission Bay Drive, San Diego, CA 92109) starting on October 26, 2019 at 8PM and going for 48-hours with the exciting conclusion on October 28, 2019 at 8PM. The event featured a VIP Festival Experience with ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT sushi, nigiri, sashimi, and more on October 27, 2019 from 2PM to 10PM. A limited VIP/ Media Engagement was held on October 28, 2019 from 2PM to 8PM.
Sushi Festival San Diego partnered and donated proceeds to the Friends of Rollo Nonprofit. A group dedicated to taking youth from all walks of life out on the ocean to fish and learn about the beautiful ecosystem.
